Growing Food Insecurity in Uganda

124 million people in 51 countries on earth are currently experiencing a food crisis or are suffering from severe malnutrition. According to the latest estimates by the editors of the “Global Report on Food Crisis”, 1.6 of the 40.1 million inhabitants of Uganda are included (1). Although Uganda is not directly affected by the main factor of the food crises, the armed conflicts, droughts, the grain plague and very high food prices increase the gaps in the food supply.
